Ph.D. Candidate

Deepali is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Clinical Psychology program at Mississippi State University (MSU). She is a doctoral intern in the behavioral medicine track at the VA Palo Alto Healthcare System. She is currently completing rotations in behavioral medicine (pain and move time focus clinics) and inpatient psychiatry.

 

Her research interests focus on the effects of interpersonal relationships on outcomes. Deepali's dissertation was an interdisciplinary collaboration investigating the use of live-actor role-plays in teaching and assessing de-escalation skills for police officers addressing mental health crises. Her collaborators include Starkville Police Department and Theatre MSU.
